Madelyn Payne

Ph.D. Candidate

I received my BS in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT, where I worked on shape-memory materials with Prof. Chris Schuh. Before starting my PhD studies at UC Berkeley, I worked at Allegheny Technologies (ATI), as a process automation engineer in a specialty materials melt shop. At UC Berkeley I am co-advised by Prof. Asta and Minor. My research will focus on leveraging both computational and experimental research for understanding structural materials properties.
